If you’re new to the area (firstly – welcome), the stunning regions of Bunbury Geographe and Ferguson Valley are home to the inauguration of our very own Lost & Found Festival set to take place this Spring from September 9-12.
Chances are you happen to be a fan of WA’s best-kept secret wines, stunning rolling hills as a back-drop, cultural explosions of talent, as well as the regions diverse range of beverage offerings (think handcrafted gins and rums and locally crafted beers).
To take the hard work out of the research, and so you can wander yourself over to your preferred event and book, we have rounded up our top picks for the vino enthusiasts amongst you (or do we mean amongst us).
Brunch, Bubbles & Beats at Mojo’s Kitchen & Bar
The great merging of 3 of our favourite things. Indulge in a tasty three-course brunch menu, paired with bubbles from three great local wineries, all set to the backdrop of some classic 80’s pop. We’re gearing up to hear ‘The Bangles’.
Feast By The Fire
Is there any other kind? Bring the family out for a meal cooked over coals by Brenton Pyke of Market Eating House, paired with some Spanish and Portuguese wine varieties grown at Mazza Vineyard. This one is family friendly, with activities for your little people (and we’re not talking about the gnomes!)
Ferguson Valley Chardonnay Tasting
Spend your day in FergVal with an intimate guided cellar door tasting that celebrates the award-winning drops from winemakers like Talisman and co. You’ll not only get to taste vins from your host, Talisman, they’ve rounded up some of their favourite chardonnays from around the region for you to sample too!
Candlelit Cabernet Dinner at St Aidan
This one had us at Cabernet, and then doubled down with candlelight. Spend your perfect eve indulging in a 5-course degustation paired with tastes that explore the textures and layers of different Cabernet Sauvignon, hosted in the beautiful St Aidan’s venue.
Mediterranean Wine Masterclass
In the absence of any of us being able to escape to Europe this Spring, or even out of this State for that matter, let us take you on a stunning tour of the Med via Green Door Wines with an evening of Fiano, Grenache, Tempranillo and other extraordinary wines from around the world.
Wines in the Vines
As if a better location exists for wines, than the vines! Take a stroll amongst the famed vineyards of St Aidan and explore their most celebrated varietals.
