There’s no shortage of exciting things to do when visiting the largest shire in Geographe. During the late 1890s, all eyes were on the Harvey region for its thriving orchards, while the hinterland of Australind was becoming renowned for its mixed farming and dairying. Harvey is home to three dams, Harvey Dam, Stirling Dam and Logue Brook Dam – Lake Brockman with the Harvey Weir officially open since 2002. With its enviable beaches and forest landscapes of the Darling Scarp, Harvey offers an abundance of natural wonders just waiting to be explored. Here are our recs for the region.
